Scenic drives! Right this way.

Highways 2 and 270 are great corridors into the beauty of the mountains of southeast Oklahoma including the Talimena National Scenic Byway. Wilburton or Robbers Cave State Park would serve as an excellent hub for day trips or as a starting point for a tour of the region, whether you like hiking, fishing, golfing, sightseeing or just relaxing.

As you enter the San Bois Mountains from the north, State Highway 2 reveals your first view of the beautiful vistas which you will see as you travel in the area. A few miles later you will find Robbers Cave State Park where tent camping, RV parking, staying at the lodge or in one of the cabins are options. Just five miles south of the park Wilburton has three motels and several eateries ranging from fast food to sit down restaurants. You can enjoy shopping for antiques, crafts, at an art gallery, and other retail stores.

From the west State Highway 270 brings you into the area on a flatter path, with the exception of Gowen Mountain, which drops you down into the valley with the San Bois Mountains to the north and Blue Mountain to the south.

Regardless of the number of wheels under you this is a good place to relax and enjoy each day.
